Not one of the places you hear much about, Cofete is a secluded part of the island with only dirt tracks leading to it. This of course makes it not particularly easy to get to. Remember to pack plenty of food and refreshments as shops are limited or even non existent is some parts.
A fun site worth checking out when in this direction is the house – villa winter. The land that the house lays on is in the shape of Fuerteventura itself while the actual location of the house corresponds to its island location. The village of Cofete is very quiet indeed with many people owning holiday property in the area which is generally out of use during the week.
You will find a few residents living in the area and the bar in the town is worth a visit. I guess its always nice to get off the beaten track now and again.
